If it's true love that goes both ways, neither will do anything that's so terrible or hurtful to the other it would make them leave.
If you believe you are in true love with someone who does things that are terrible or hurtful to you..... Your idea of what love is may be quite different from what they think love is. I'd say it isn't true love then.
Now if you love someone who does something criminal - It doesn't necessarily mean you stop loving them. However, you would have to draw a line determining what's wrong and right - If you can't accept their crime, you can still love them for other reasons, but it would be very unhealthy to "stand by them" in a love relationship. If you are in such conflict with yourself trying to make yourself accept something that you feel is wrong ... You need to get away from them, because this person is not your true love or soul mate. You have alluded yourself into thinking it's true love, but they are not who you imagine them to be.

As a matter of fact I'm a dying breed in the way I was raised. I don't cut and run regardless. If I'm truly in love with someone I am faithful to the very end. The only exception is infidelity on their part. I expect full honesty and faithfulness on their part too. Anything else, sickness, family problems, etc. - I attach to them for life and give them full support through thick and thin. :):):)

Well I'm on my third marriage, so I am probably not the best person to answer this question. I would say that any love is true love. Otherwise it is just romantic obsession and unfortunately that is what usually FEELS the most like true love.

Been there, done that, married to him now for 4 yrs. and I would do it again for my true love! He's very much worth it to me. Only adultery could tear us apart. That's the one thing even God will not condone in a husband/wife, and neither would I.

If ur not married, no u stick with them as long as u like.
If ur married u stick with them unless their a danger to u or ur kids.
If they are doing something u can't accept, u could cool it for a while, hoping they will change.

Yep. Assuming it's not something I find morally reprehensible. If that's the case then obviously not.
Other than that though the answer is yes.

***no, that's called insanity. u can't be totally blind to what other people do and if they don't have the same morals that u do then what kind of respect are u showing yourself to stand by them NO MATTER WHAT? highs and lows are one thing, but everyone should have some sort of limits.
