I just got this really cool wind breaker jacket but it has the # 4 on the sleeve ( I know it's probably a couple of years old anyway). The tag reads: Genuine Merchandise...by Logo Athletic. I'm just curious... Can anybody tell me who's # this is?

I would say the era of this jacket would be quite recently...probably the last couple of years or so.

In baseball, 4 represents the second baseman's position. It was also the jersey number of Lou Gehrig, Mel Ott, Joe Cronin, and Paul Molitor. It was the jersey number of Earl Weaver, long-time manager of the Baltimore Orioles.

There's 14 teams in the AL. Narrowing it down to one would help immensely.

One of the more famous #4s throughout history was Lou Gehrig, HOF 1B for the Yankees long ago, and the first number in baseball ever to be retired.

The most famous #4 belonged to Hall of Famer Lou Gehrig. You wouldn't disgrace that number by wearing it. Congrats.

My little brother was #4 on the Indians Covina Little League. That was some years ago though.
