Fireworks in Union city, CA?

Question

Does any one know when we we can light fireworks legally in union city CA this year. Last year it was allowed on 3rd & 4th. Is it the same this year or just the 4th. Thanks in advance!!!

i heard from my sister that u would have to go to a park to light fireworks because i heard last year the police was arresting people for lighting fireworks outside their houses because there were three fires around the area at night because of fireworks and it was getting out of control.

I would think it's cool that we are allowed to do fireworks on Forth of July, but I so wish people would not do them before and after. I, and several of my neighbors, have dogs and cats that are terrified of fireworks. I can't walk my dog from the middle of June until... I tried to take her out tonight (July 27th) and we got as far as the driveway before we heard fireworks and she bolted back in toward the house. This is a 55 pound dog who needs exercise. When she bolts, she's strong and it hurts me too. One neighbor who lives across from the middle school, where some people did illegal, very loud aerial fireworks 2 nights ago, has a 90 year old Mom who just had hip surgery. Everything they "boom" she jumps, and that hurts!

I have a friend that lives out that way. I lived out in Fremont until I moved back to Southern Ca. Last year in Union City it was on the 4th of July and they can do it out in the front yard as long as they have a lot lf water incase the fire works start to burn. They can do it out in the street by the curb. Have fun on the 4th.I just texted my friend out in Union City and she said YES you can have fire works in Union City.
