Ok guys here it is. I need to know if anyone would date a person like this or would you be happy with a boyfriend/girlfriend that treats you this way:
1. If they only called you once a week and the call lasted only a few minutes
2. If they only alotted 3-4 hours a week for you to spend time together but they actually have more time available to do stuff (like with other people that they see more often)
3. If they worked 40 hours a week at their job and then another 20 hours doing misc jobs for other people
4. If they feel that they don't need to spend as much time with you as you need with them
5. They don't believe affection is needed and/or they can't communicate how they feel
The reason I am asking is because this is a guy (30 years old) that I just dumped, but I am wondering if there is ANYONE out there that would put up with this cr@p, because as far as I am concerned I don't think he will ever find anyone else that will put up with it like I did off and on for 4 years.

You did the right thing, he sounds like a self centered kind of guy and I would find someone that wanted to be with me even if it's just staying in for the night and watch a movie. Girls need to be wanted and loved, the affection is so important to us women and any man that can't say what they are feeling are doomed to a felled relationship with EVERYONE. Why would you spend more than a month with someone that's not even there?

This sounds just like my husband was 5 yrs ago. Whenever i would ask why or anything else about us he would just say it wasn't me it was him. Once he said that if he knew that this was going to be an every Saturday night thing he, then I stopped him dead in his tracks. We went on for months like this and then we got pregnant. Guess what his behavior was all based on fear. Fear of getting too close, fear of me leaving him fear of being hurt. He was so devastated by a past relationship that our son was a year old before he realized that I was happy that god took over and made us grow up and face what we both already knew. We belonged together. Now he comes home after work every night and is with us at all times. Almost too much some times.
Give yourself a few weeks to see how you feel and then just be honest with him and tell him that you deserve someone that wants you, respects your desires and needs the way you have respected him and see what he has to say. I came right out and told my man that I was the best thing that could ever happen to him and that he was a damn fool to be willing to throw that away and then asked him what did I do to deserve to be treated that way. That was before we got pregnant and he was really crying and told me I was right and things went slow but started to change from there.

Seems to me he was trying to send you a message but did not have the decency to let you go, so he targeted his energies elsewhere until YOU could not tolerate it anymore.

You must be a very patient lady to do so, It doesn't sound like he cares alot, I think you should consider telling him or even showing him this question.

I may go on a date if this person was EXTREMELY GENEROUS AND NICE AND HOT. Other than that, it sounds like a law suit waiting to happen.
