Every state that I know ban females from entering male bathrooms and vice versa. The same is said about locker rooms. Yet alot of pro teams allow female reporters in male athletes locker rooms which have caused resentment by male athletes who dont want to strip naked or dress in front of these women. Also another issue if our american society is suppose to be equal, why are male reporters not allowed in male athletes locker rooms?

Having been a sports reporter, let me clarify a few things:

1. female reporters ARE alllowed in male lockerrooms
2. male reporters ARE allowed in female lockerrooms
3. the interview periods are prearranged by the media director for each team.
4. interview periods end at the immediate direction of the media director and ALL reporters leave.

Reporters are not allowed in the team lockerroom for a set time (usually 15-20 minutes) which allows some players to change or freshen up. Notice how most interview on tv are of athletes still in uniform, still sweaty from the game.

Reporting is a job, and a challenging one. It's pretty tough for women to get the best assignments, and sexist attitudes like some of the ones posted don't help.

Why ask a dumb question like this? Anyways here's your answer last time I checked a lockerroom was not a bathroom. The bathrooms are somethihg totally different then a locker room and usually when they are attached to a lockerroom there's a wall blocking any view of the showers or the toilets. So there's really nothing to see except for people getting dressed oh boy a man without his shirt on or if it's a male interviewing a woman she maybe in her sports bra big deal. Get a life we don't need to hear about your conservative values.

Male reporters are not allowed in male athletes locker rooms because that would just be wrong but girls shouldn't be allowed in there either.

You can bet that if male reporters were allowed into female athlete's locker rooms, "it" would hit the fan. Big time.

Because fans dont want to watch guys reporting... They want sexy looking hot chicks....... Plus the double standard dictates, that a gal in a guys locker room is ballsy and guys in a gals locker room is just plain perverted.......May not be right but thats how things go.....

Because both parties enjoy it. female reporters like staring at hot bodies in the locker room and male athletes enjoy having female reporters stair at their hot bodies.

Women belong on cooking shows and trying to be like Oprah. If they must be in sports...women's sports. Why don't they understand that?
