You can get a Fahrenheit thermometer, take a reading and convert to Celcius using the formula:
5 * (degrees_F - 32) / 9 = degrees_C

so if it's 80 degrees_F the calculation is:
5* (80-32) / 9 = 26.67

...or just use a thermometer that has the Celcius markings on it and read the temperature from there.

Hi there. Here is the formula for converting Fahrenheit (F) to Celsius (C) :

F to C = F minus 32 divided by 9 =C X5
for example to change 100.4 degrees fahrenheit to celsius is 100.4 minus 32 divided by 9 =7.6 x5 =38
Therefore 100.4 F = 38 C

Here is the formula for converting Celsius (C) to Fahrenheit(F)

C to F = C divided by 5 = Fx9 plus 32
for example to change 38 degrees celsius to fahrenheit is
38 divided by 5 = 7.6 x 9 = 68.4 + 32 =100.4 F

You use a thermometer that is calibrated in Celcius, rather than Fahrenheit.

Water boils at 100C and 212F
Water Freezes at 0C and 32F

Mercury freezes at 40C and 40 F !
