I say Kobe gets them past the first two rounds, but not by Detroit. Despite the scoring outburst in game 5 Lebron looked for his teammates the entire series, and that is the only way your going to beat Detroit, is if you spread the ball.
Kobe's style would not have worked against Detroit. Kobe feels he can do it all alone and he doesn't make any of his teammates a threat. Kobe is still good and would have had at least one or two 35 or 40 point games, but for the most part Kobe most likely would have had nights like 5-14 or 8-27 shooting with 10 attempts from three point range. If he passed like Lebron he'd free himself up more, but Kobe gets desperate and goes into me against the world mode when the team gets into trouble. Also, Tayshaun Prince has Kobe's number. He locked him down in the 2004 NBA Finals and if they met in 2007 it wouldn't be any different.
The 2007 Kobe led Cleveland Cavaliers would lose in the Conference Finals to the Pistons 4-2.

With the, Cavs Kobe could have won two games in the Finals on his own with very little contributions from any role players. However, with a solid effort from other players and Kobe at his best, there's no denying the road to victory. Not sure he'd have won it himself though, especially had the roles played the way they did with LeBron.

Maybe. LeBron has a better supporting cast than Kobe does but if Kobe was on the cavs im not sure if he would actually use the rest of the players.

With the team they had and in the east, he could have made it a 7 gamer and maybe even win it all!!! James will get his in about 3-5 years. Kobe next year if KG becomes a Laker!!!!!

nope because Lebron is a team player and passes and kobe hogs the ball. So he will not get along with the team.

Nah...theyre essentially both superstars. Kobe might not have choked as much as Lebron during teh finals but i see them both as superstars.

Different team, same results. 1st round exit, caused by ballhog trying to be a one man team.
