Disney--There is actual depth and artistry in most Disney movies--sorry Warner fans--but many Warner films were put together with no thought to broadening the artistic boundaries and that is one thing that Walt did very well.

The person who answered above is completely wrong. The Looney Tunes and Merrie Melodies were NOT intended for children. They were made to entertain adult movie patrons in the 40s and 50s and the soldiers during World War II...Disney cartoons were always and will always be for children...and for merchandise.
The Warner cartoons were slicker, sicker and a whole lot better than anything Disney ever did. The characters had more depth, were mentally unstable and a whole heck of a lot more interesting than Disney characters.
But I like Hanna-Barbera the best.

Warner Brothers. When Walt Disney was a kid, he BEAT AN OWL TO DEATH. His entire career was based on that guilt, but nothing that he can do will really make up for it. It won't bring back the owl and it won't comfort his family and it won't provide for his litle ones.
The only thing left to do is to say, "Hey, it was just an animal! it doesn't really matter!" and that kind of cuts Disney's feet off before the race begins, doesn't it?
Disney's whole career and company is a testament to the fact that he did wrong. Don't let him off the hook.

For me, Warner Brothers are more entertaining with funny and interesting characters so it's more striking to kids...Disney is for almost ALL (so artistic and creative)...though I like them both...I will choose Disney...^_^
