Read smsmith500 again and then read my answer. You will find that we are the only ones who honestly tried to answer your question sans insults and countered you weak, lib propaganda.
As far as homeland security goes, we have not been attacked again since 9/11. That is 5+ years. Pretty good track record. I would say they are doing their job well and deserve to be funded no matter the cost.
Wars cost money and the Iraq war will continue to cost money long after U.S. operations cease in Iraq and the majority of the soldiers come home. It is a fact that we have to deal with and do not like, but that is the price you pay for helping those that cannot help themselves.
Had the President ever broken the law under the constitution, he would have been impeached. With approval ratings this low, impeachment is a given. However, notice that the libs have been unable to do this because President Bush is not doing anything that other Presidents have not done before him. He is merely exercising the full scope of powers given to him by the constitution and it drives the libs crazy to know they can do nothing about it.
And by the way, we have never, I repeat NEVER stolen oil from anyone. We have enough oil here to make ourselves totally independent of foreign oil, but libs refuse to let us drill for it or exploit new methods (such as extracting from tar sands). Regardless, the U.S. is the greatest, most successful, ,pst blessed, and richest country in the world. It makes no sense that we would ever need to steal anything unless a lib is making foundless, false accusations against us!!!

Congratulations. You are the the proud winner of the dumbest question of the day. If you had posed the stealing oil part as a question, it would have won. Therefore, it just becomes another stupid statement.

Of course it was. Those swine in congress will use any excuse to grab a few more bucks from you and me. DO YOU REALLY THINK THAT FEDERAL GOVERNMENT DOESN'T HAVE ACCESS TO TRILLIONS OF DOLLARS ALREADY?
Are the citizens of the United States are so stupid that they think we weren't already paying billions of dollars for security? Are Americans that ignorant that they think before 9/11 we weren't pouring billions of dollars into various agencies (CIA, FBI) to keep us safe? If we haven't been doing that all along then our "leadership" is pretty much worthless.
Face it, pal, the American population is so ignorant and stupid that they re-elected the most worthless president of all time. We pretty much got what we deserved. Now, millions of idiots are willing to invest more money into programs that should have already been in place. Doesn't any one question where all the money went before 9/11?
I didn't think so.

One, this war was not our idea, during the 90s Clinton signed a resolution making a regime change in Iraq MATTER OF NATIONAL POLICY, a resolution passed in congress. Can you name any instance when we "stole oil". The Iraqis are free to sell their oil to anyone. Oh and can you name one right that you have lost, if any want to tear up the Constitution its your Democratic friends.
