There are some natural places in the world that you go to and there is a consensus of opinion that it creates a special 'feeling' for most people. I do not mean awe and wonder at man made sites, but in the natural world we (meaning most people from very young to very old) 'feel' something different.
What is this called in scientific terms Energetics, thermodynamics, reaction kinetics, Holmgren's maximum power principle etc? PS Layman's terms please I do not have scientific background.

just conjecture... but RESONANCE is a term that works on both a scientific and an emotional level, and may just describe what you refer to.

sonically, a note or a frequency can be resonant, or in harmony with another one. it describes a convergence or a meshing, a combining into something equal or better. an antenna can be said to be resonant at a certain frequency if it's best reception occurs on that particular channel.

also, two people can be resonant with each other... in sync with the other's feelings, thoughts, or emotions. very attuned. again, a meshing and a combining into something greater, something unique... something 'special'.

could it be that some combination of the two leads to the feelings you describe? there may be a physical reason, and there may be a scientific one. i prefer to visualize a combination of the two...

Beauty. Tranquility. We see something that resonates with our nature on a fundamental level. Balance. In Genesis 1, after each "day" (phase) of creation, God "saw that it was good." I think that's the same thing going on in humans when they see that same, complete creation. "It is good." Satisfaction. Completeness. If someone does a creative task particularly well, they are pleased, satisfied, and content. Others see the work and enjoy it. Job well done. A quality expression of creativity is a thing of beauty, innately satisfying. Much of what you see on YouTube is simply gaudy noise, and not satisfying at all. To quote Shakespeare, "full of sound and fury, signifying nothing." That's the difference you feel.

Its called an emotional reaction.

The brain releases some chemicals, and parts of the brain light up (especially pleasure centers and memory centers).

You feel different, but only the first couple times you see it. Then it becomes old hat, and you dont care as much anymore.

Its not like theres an energy field surrounding the place.
