Titanic with Celine Dion singing the title track, James Cameron producer. Filmed off Newfoundland or was that the original event.
Actually, they could not go back to the original spot to film where the 1912 event took place because with global warming there are no icebergs that far south anymore (41.46N, 50.14W) in the mid Atlantic.
Actually, The movie 'Titanic' was filmed at the 46-acre oceanfront Baja Studios, south of Rosarito Beach -- 20th Century Fox just sold the studio this month.

If you are talking about movies made in Canada or by a Canadian.
The movie with the highest gross is, that is considered Canadian would be Porky's, unfortunately, Rob Clarke was not Canadian and the Movie was shot in Florida. It is considered Canadian because of the production company.
If you mean by a Canadian, by far the highest grossing Canadian Movie would be "Titanic" written, directed, produced and edited by a Canadian (James Cameron).
And if you mean a truly Canadian Movie it would be "The Sweet Hereafter" written, directed etc by a Canadian and produced by a Canadian production company.
