This is not a question, but something i thing every girl should know.?

Fathers are men and they know how men think, so that is why most of them are so over protective of their daughters. They know how they use to manipulate girls and try to get them into bed (well not all of them, but most of them). So girls thats the hidden secret... If anyone things i'm wrong, you can comment.

I'm a man and I don't know how men think. I only know how I think, I think. I get glimpses of other people's thoughts but never enough to truly understand their motives.

Please don't think that all men are 'pigs' and are motivated solely by getting you into bed. Thats true for some but not even the majority. Though I suppose that I don't really know.

Protection is good, over-protection by definition is a bad thing. Eventually you have to learn to deal with the world by yourself and gradually reducing that 'protection' is the best method.

What is your point? I do not care what you think. Why do you think you need to say this? Hello, I am a 25 year old female who has a dad and I have figured this out when I was 14. You need to realize a lot of people will not care so just delete your statement and ask a question. People like this make Yahoo! Answers boring.

I am a father, and I don't know how men think, I know how I think.
I know a lot men think they know all about....
But I know there's a lot more they do not know about.
And that's one of the reasons they are overprotective.
If you don't know, you can't protect yourself. Because you don't know what to protect, and that's frightning a lot of men.
It's also nature; instinctively men want to score as much women as possible.
We're learned, actualy told to, live monogamous. (bible, church)
But human are herd animals.
Sadly lots of men are not much developt, neanderthale men were smarter.
So if a man 'scores' a girl, they think their good.
But if your daughter is 'scored', could be you're in trouble:You got a daughter with offspring (or on its way) without a man to look after her...
Wich results, father is the only man for it.
Fathers think "I raise my girl to get her own life, with her own family"
Older generations also had problem that girls must be virgin when she get's married.(church)
Nobody wanted a mother with a kid.
In nature there are lots of natural ways of selecting the strongest genes to survive.Millions of seed in sperm, one of them to survive.
Lions kill others young lions. The female lion will be sooner available for the male, who wants to. Who thinks he has best & strongest genes.
Macho-way of thinking. Nature is as nature does.
We think we can culture ourselves, but men are jealous.
Women are smarter, stronger. So jealous men oppressed women. So does the bible, only men lead the church?
Men have more to learn than women, women are sooner adult, more developt.
To protect yourself from manipulating men: Let them walk for you. The one that walks longest is most serious.
Men looking for a quick ****, act nice, make you laugh, feel good (temporary), but they don't walk/work for you.
They let others walk, if not, let you walk for them.
Maby they have money to buy you a drink or a few.
But they expect someting in return.
And if your laughing, having fun, you don't think about that, and admit more then you would/should.
So you end up feeling used etc.
My english is not rotten, but close. I hope you can understand what I'm trying to tell you.
You cannot always blame a man for the way he acts; he doesn't have the brains for it. It's hard, but could be you're on your own then......
Don't think you know how a man thinks, try to find out how short his brain is.......Let him walk for you.
Instinctivly women know how to make them walk,
think about it. If he can't wait 'till next date, or doesn't show up on a date, you know he's seriously the wrong guy for you

good comment. but i think if your a dad. you should atleast met the kid before you just saying things. and you should know alot about him. you should also be able to trust your daughter becuase shes your and when she turns 18 she'll be able to do anything that she wants to do. i mean even at 16, she could have her own kid and run away if you keep her soo uptight with that. im just saying becuase i know how i used to be when my dad was liveing here. i just wanted to get out of the house.

lol saddly its true just sometimes i wish they could trust one guy i meet because both my mom and dad think that iam off having sex with every man i see! Yet iam a girl that both of them shouldnt worry about iam not going to go get pregnant for fun! lol just sometimes i wish my dad didnt think that all men are pigs, there are nice men in the world that dont just want to get in your pants

hey "sis....." if you find the statement so frustrating than why answer it. for being 25 you really need to realize that your whole maturatity factor needs a little improvement.
as to the actual statement that was said.
i completely agree with you. personally me and my dad get along very well. and i would never date a guy that my dad didn't approve of. unless i felt God called me to you know.
