I can spell properly now and do lots more!

Should it be ... "and do a lot more" or is the sentence already correct?

I like the second one , mainly because "lots" is kind of a slang expression. "a lot" sounds better. Actually, the way I would write it is: "I can spell properly now, and can do much more, as a result." But I have paraphrased your sentence, which is not what you asked for. Stick to your second choice, as it is more grammatically correct, and sounds more professional.
