I agree, I think Torre's time is done. The Yankees need a drastic change. It's not his fault that the team has horrible pitching but it's the easiest thing to get rid of the manager when things go bad. And the Yankees haven't looked this bad in a long time.

Joe Torre is a class act and good baseball manager. He has done the best he could with what he has available. I honestly think the Yankees GM Cashman will be fired rather than Torre, because he is the one responsible for the Yankees team. The prime choice to get fired as a manager is Ozzie Guillen of the White Sox. He has not been effective this year, or last year for that matter. His on-the-field rages have gotten old and he can no longer efficiently lead his team. Will probably be replaced by Joe Girardi.

I'm not sure anybody, but if somebody is sent packing, I'd cast my vote for Ozzie Guillen. The WhiteSox are inexplicably abysmal this season, and that guy's seemed to have had one contraversial charade after another... Joe is safe until the end of the season, I'd wager. George isn't nearly as volatile these days as he was during the Billy Martin years...

A lot of folks think Charlie Manuel will get axed. But I know the Phillies - they are too stone stupid to know whats right for winning baseball.
