What was your most memorable experience with an entity/spirit?

This question is for those that have actually experienced/witnessed paranormal activity.

This is the easiest question I have read all night ! My favorite experience happened when I was arount 8 or nine. I would lay in bed at night looking at the dark doorway to my room, I swear I would see a shadow person walking by, it would'nt scare me, I just keep watching the doorway, Then there would be no more shadow but very soon my covers would be slowly pulled to the foot of my bed. I would sit up and pull the covers back up to my chest, lay back down, and again the covers would be pulled down, a little quicker this time. this would happen time and time again untill I would get a little angry and yell at who or whatever was doing it to "Knock it off". It would stop for the night. And this happened off and on many night until our family moved to another city. Pretty cool. And it never scared me.

There was a man ghost in my house growing up. He didn't like it when I stayed up late and he would try to scare me. A wine bottle on the kitchen counter was put down so hard that the wine sloshed around in circles for a long time; longer than I could re-create it. Then I heard the sound of breaking glass in the basement a few minutes later, but there was no glass found. There were too many other scary things to think about. Needless to say, when it came time to buy my own house, I bought a new house, and I can sense there are no bad spirits here. My parents still hear wire hangers banging all the time, I don't know why they stay.

Last summer I actually "felt" a spirit for the first time. I had purchased a book about "Ghosts of the Gold Rush Towns" and my son and a friend were checking out some of the towns in the book. We went to the Ione Hotel and there, under the stairwell I felt a cold spot. It was a hot day in July, about 98 degress outside, so the cold spot was real noticable. The spot was about 4 feet off the ground, and moving. The hairs on the back of my arm were also rising, like when one encounters an electrical field. I had my friend and my son both put their hands in the cold spot. Both felt it. We then found the owner of the hotel and asked him about the "spirits" in the hotel, without telling him about our encounter. He said that there was suppose to be the spirit of a young child who hangs around the stairwell. WOW.. We couldn't believe we had actually "felt" a ghost. It made a believer out of my friend :-)

When I was 14 I was spending the weekend with a friend and she had fell asleep and I turned off the light and sitting on the bed was a shadow figure which looked like a man and he started talking to me he said "go outside and I'll tell you your future" scared me to death I threw the covers over my head (like that's going to help) it felt like he was still there but I eventually passed out the next day my friends mother came upstairs and told my friend her dog died which the dog had the same name as me so I told my friend what had happened after her mom left and we figured it was a demon and he might of been trying to possess me and when I didn't go he killed her dog we were 14 so I don't know if the dog part was true Anyway that night my friend fell asleep before me again and I was trying to go to sleep but was afraid and then the thing came out of the wall at first it looked like it had on a kkk outfit I was totally freaking out as it crossed the room it changed form it looked like half man half beast and I just froze I couldn't scream or anything and it bent down beside me and it's face was in mine although I couldn't make out any features I could feel it's breathe and the next thing I know it was morning I still wonder if I'll ever see it again I hope I don't though it was the freakiest thing that ever happened to me.

I was 13 or 14 and home alone.... My mom had this plant that stood like 5 feet high and weighed about 50-60 pounds. The leaves of the plant were towards the TV and it tuned until the leaves pointed in the opposite direction....

When I was younger I worked at a variety store that had 2 spirits in it. In the newer part of the store the one would toss things off of shelves, open doors and move things. In the older section this one would through things at you or try to lock you in the storage room if you weren't careful.

In my old house, where a young man and a child died from stepping on a downed electrical wire during a storm, all kinds of things happened....one day when i just moved in, my dog was looking in a room that contained nothing but a card table and some chairs against the wall.

When I walked in to see what he was looking at, one of the chairs was opened, in the middle of the room, and facing me as if someone was waiting for me to come through that entrance. ( 2 entrances to that room).

I wish I had the energy to write about it, but it's a long story. Let's just say I am a skeptic about everything, but have faced evil and found it very terrifying and very real, but block the experience out as it was almost unbearable.

I don't want to think or talk about it it ever.

Entities that I call 'dark man' have actually caused me a lot of grief. I saw dark man and a couple of weeks later my mother in law died. I saw him again about 3 months later and my dearest friend's mom died. Same thing happened altogether 4 times in a year and a half and someone died within a couple of weeks of me seeing them. Funny, though, I didn't see one when the last person died - who happened to be my mom.
