Alot of it is imported. Here in my area there are alot of Vietnamese people and they have their own supermarkets. Alot of their food items come from California. I have seen the man that owns the Vietnamese restaurant shopping at the regular gorcery store.

Heck no!!! In fact, what we call "Chinese food" is NOT Chinese at all, but rather invented in America. I used to rent from Chinese people who owned a Chinese Restaurant. They told me they even have a special menu for those who are native Chinese, food that most Americans wouldn't care for.

No way! Buing the food from such a distance would be costly because it would have to travel many miles, and it would spoil quicker, also the food would be HIGHLY priced.

no that would be stupid because then the food would rot over seas. the food comes from the town or cities they live in.

im gonna say no although i have no facts. i do however have common sense that tells me that to import the food it would be very expensive. fact: the rice they use is not authentic cause a true Asian will eat sticky rice.

Yeah sure.....they fly it in from china every day. Had to wait 4 hrs for wonton soup the other day...it was coming by boat.
