being a ex fisherman i loved the show and know what those guys go though long hours
i once had 1 1/2 hours sleep over a 72 hour period
ive been trapped under a net when a big wave hit us
i thought this is it but as the boat rolled the net moved and i was pulled free
and if you think they get paid heaps think again
we did a time keeping on a trip once and for the hours we were working on deck it worked out at .50 cents a hour that was 28 yrs ago
and to sum it up i would do it all over again
i loved it
its a good way to learn to work as a team and get along with fellow workmates

I love this show. It's so odd to think that a show where men go out on a boat in the ocean to catch crabs EVERY episode could be so entertaining. I can sit and watch it for hours.

You're not alone. Everyone I know is hooked.

I like it but not quite hooked. I just like seeing what other people are doing to make a dollar. Now I am hooked on How It's Made and Dirtiest Jobs though. Love them both.

I used to be hooked on this show, because I just love, love, love any kinds of crustations!! I mean who doesn't?!! But, then one day this whole "Global Warming" thing really started to getting me thinking about the polar bears falling into the ocean and drowning, and then I thought about the poor panguin's too......And then I got to thinking about my grandchildren's future's, and what things might be like for them? And will they ever even know what a penguin or a polar bear is, except for in pictures, and so on....Then I thought about the old testiment.. How God had a list of Clean and Unclean foods we were suppose to eat.. And how one of them were only fish with both scales, and fins, and if it had one and not the other such as Catfish doesn't have scales.. That it was considered "Unclean Food" and we weren't suppose to eat it.. right.. Well I know we're under the New covenant now through the blood of Jesus, but it all makes sense to me now, why God made the Clean and Unclean foods for us to eat.. All of the crustations we all eat, even the very wealthy eat, God put in the ocean to clean the ocean's floor!! And many other fish types too to do this as well, such as the pocasamus's, and the like, but the crustations are the main one's, as far as that's concerned, and then I began to remember about the show's boat owner's talking about some other "Brother Boat's" losing a few mates or two or some even losing thier whole entire Boat's!! And I thought about it, and thought is this God trying to get a message to them to quit taking what's cleaning the ocean floor's, and go to the streams as He told us and get some Yummy Salmon instead!! Which would be considered Clean in the bible!! Then I thought about my grandchildren again.. Will they ever get to even swim in the ocean's when thier older? Or will all of the ocean's be so filthy, that they'll all be "Off Limit's!!" Because of all of the toxins that reside in them now, (In their future's) that they'll only be able to look at them, because all of the crustations were killed 20 years back!!! And this all became so sad to me, that I couldn't watch the show anymore!! All for fear and deep saddness for my Grandchildren!! I'm sorry but I used to love that show until God showed my heart all of what's to come, for my poor Grandchildren and it just makes me so sad for them now... Life as we know it wont be the same for them... Including the crustations.. Or maybe even the ocean's to swim in? None of us know, really.. Otherwise, I do love to eat salmon!! Smile!!!

I am hooked. It is really good. I would like to see it extended to two hours.
I like Phil the capatin and the captain that wears his baseball hat backward. He was part of the rescue that saved a man that went overboard.
It really is a good show.

Deadliest Catch is entertaining but also shows how difficult it is to work that job. I know that when I order crab I have a new respect for those who caught it....also a new respect for the high price!

Yes, every Tuesday of my life I can count on watching Deadliest Catch, thanks to my husband. He is now in mourning since the season has ended.
