I was thinking about it for awhile. I was interested in it ever since I saw the commercial for the first time. But the other day when I learned how expensive they were ($2000-$6000) dollars, I figured there has to be a much better use for that much money. The iPhone is really sick, but I don't know if I want to spend that much and then have to be on a contract for service from Apple.
In a couple of years the iPhones features will be in many devices and the competition will drive the prices down. It was like when the flip phones came out, everyone thought they were the thing until everyone was selling them. Now you can buy a flip phone for $60.
I'd just wait a couple years and I'd rather spend that much on a new dirt bike and everyone else always has something that they want that costs several K.
But I agree, if you want it and the money isn't an issue, go for it for sure.

To me, The iphone isn't really worth it. I mean, its $600 and they're sold out everywhere, people are treating it like the next gen console or something. ITS JUST A PHONE. As for me, Im happy with my sidekick 3. An iphone would be nice if it didnt cost so much. But Im really not about to buy a phone that cost more than my computer, ther's better things I can use that money for. But the iphone has set new paths for the phones of the future. The iphone is the only phone in America that enables you to use (real) web browsing, and also has java script, which allows you to watch vids online, such as youtube. But if anybody is going to buy the phone, wait a awhile. You may or may not know that the screen smudges real easily, and scrathes alot as well. So im not getting one, besides you can ONLY use it with At&T, even if you unlock it, it wont work, just like the sidekick is only for t-mobile.
Good Luck

No.... I bought my Razr for $400, and it was way overrated. I hated that phone so much....
I feel the Iphone is the same kind of thing.... once they work out the bugs (and I'm sure there are some) it will be a nice phone. However, I am completely happy with my Nokia, and will be keeping it until it dies, which is hopefully NOT soon. :-)

I heard businessmen would like the iphone. It doesn't do everything but I hear there will be free downloads in six months or so that will add a few things. But still, when something new comes out like that there are bugs to be worked out, so maybe I'll buy the next one that comes out.

I consider myself a moderate techie and I'm not the least bit intoxicated with apple's new phone. I generally don't purchase the first model of a new line. I wait till the glitches (and trust me they will be some) to get worked out.

I probably wouldn't use half the stuff on it. I'm a big supporter of Apple products, but I wouldn't have a personal need for the iPhone. I would like to try it, so I could see what it's really like, though.

I think the iphone is the coolest phone EVER!!! lol, but it's way too advanced for me. The cell phone I have now is fine, as mine already has an mp3 player, fm radio, camera, web access, ect... but if your the kind of person that just needs the latest in cell phones, then go for it!
