LOL! When I read the first part of your question I thought "oh, I used to get those at Disneyland!" Funny that that's what they remind you of too... :)
No, I don't eat regular candy anymore. Only chocolate! I might force one of those lollipops down if I could go to Disneyland right now though. I miss that place!

I used to think they were pretty to see, but when eaating them the flavor never lived up to the visual expectaion ... sigh .. an early instance of disillusionment
but ice cream ... ice cream in "old fashioned" vanilla shakes
.. the price has goe up a lot, and they're harder to find, but I don't have to ask for permission now
