I truly do, I feel lucky to have her on our side... Yes, she is over the top sometimes but you have to admit she stands true to her feelings, beliefs, and goals whether she is right or wrong. In my opinion, that shows huge strength and honesty in her character. I applaud her for all she does and continues to work toward for our community. How do you guys feel?

I totally agree with you. She is loud and extreme, but sometimes you have to be to get your cause noticed.

The world needs more people who are not afraid to rise up and take a stand. I admire her for doing what she wants when she wants it and not caring what other people say about her.

I am a bisexual myself and I like Rosie in her defense of children that have been abused. She gives a lot to that cause and I applaud her for it. On the other hand, she is very opinionated and that sometimes gets her into trouble. A person can rarely say anything to Rosie now days without being called a bigot. She starts a lot of unnecessary trouble and provokes a lot of fights. She probably is a nice person, but I think she needs to chill out a little bit.

I like Rosie. After Hurricane Katrina, she worked with churches in the area to help the displaced children with school supplies, school clothes, etc. She's done great things for the community. (I live in Baton Rouge, LA. There were, and still are a good number of evacuees living here.)

My problem with her is that she makes EVERY issue a LGBT issue. I'm like "We know you're gay, Rosie. We've known for years. You don't have to remind us." Not everything someone does to you is a gay issue, it's not always the fault of some white Republican guy.

Now, don't get me wrong, I'm a gay, black woman. I see discrimination come from everywhere, but i still know that not everyone is out to get me. I think she needs to take a step back and see things for what they really are sometimes.

Support her? I'm not to sure I would say I stand behind her or anything, but on the otherhand. I think it is great when anyone stands up for what they believe in.....and stands their ground like she does. But she hasn't really done or said anything that makes me not like her. I agree with you she is a great strength for the GLBT community. Great question.

No, I don't. Just because someone identifies themselves as a minority does not mean that people should automatically accept and support everything she does. I seriously wonder about the woman's emotional health. She was such a wonderful talk show host and actress, but went downhill after her show ended. I sometimes think to myself, "Why doesn't Rosie's partner tell her to 'think' before she speaks?"

I'm in disagreement with her tactics. She's juvenile in her actions and takes everything to the nth degree instead of trying to act on the level. What really gets me, though, is once she's on the air doing a stereotypical rendition of speaking Chinese; some Chinese groups ask her to desist and she completely blows them off. So, she gets upset with queer stereotypes but finds it OK to do the same to others. If we want respect, we have to give respect and acting like a loudmouth isn't the way to do it.

I'm indifferent about her, some things I like about her, some I don't, sometimes she takes it a little to far, but she's alright with me, I do agree that she does do a lot with her cruises and stuff and I respect that, but I'm not a big supporter or anything.

I'm right there with you! That she is over the top sometimes is necessary. I like that she doesn't let little things like someone being uncomfortable with a subject stop her, and the fact that I hate Hasselbeck doesn't hurt...

I think she has her good or bad points.

But I won't follow her just because she's lesbian, that's foolish. I also don't think that that has anything really to do with her views.

She is interesting as an individual, her sexual orientation shouldn't be the big definer for her. She shouldn't be the interesting lesbian, she should be the interesting woman who happens to be lesbian.

I'm with on you on that girl....Rosie is great, she is what more people should be like. Standing up for what they believe in and not cowering down.
