If I had an idea for a movie script, where would be the best place to take it? Or a story line for a TV show might work too...?

You need to register your ideas with WGA first, then try to get an agent, then they will help you get appointments so you can pitch your ideas to the powers that be :-) Kind of a long process, but those are the proper channels.

You do not have to be a member of the guild to register your script, and check out the second link below for Trigger Street. They have a lot of information for writers! :-)

Good luck!

I agree with Marianne D with the addition that you need to find a way to get the script into the hands of a "script reader" for a major production company. Otherwise, you will wait for ever before someone(important) will actually read your script.

I am sorry to say this but hollywood people are afraid of getting overwelmed by ideas. They even dont read unsolicated stuff like yours. The best way is to try and find some agent (?) or get to known someonen in a production company that likes your idea. Otherwise its tough. Johan
