This is an honest question. I'd like to find hobbies that are healthy and don't include substance abuse.

flying stunt kites!

well...i'm only saying that because i like to fly stunt kites.

doing something worthwhile that will make you feel good in another way. like helping the elderly neighbor down the street with the lawn or house repair, or the guy that can't seem to get his car running, volunteer to help youths to stay
chemically free, coach a league of your favorite sport, go to the junkyard and get a heap and rebuild it.... the possibilities are endless, you will have more time to devote to whatever your heart desires since you no longer have dependencies on substances that took that time. good luck!

Skydiving!!!! Who needs an artificial buzz when you can experience the greatest feeling of accomplishment and sense of freedom that there is to be had! It's a pricey hobby but booze and drugs are too. Also no drop zone will let you jump if they suspect that you are under the influence, you need your faculties about you when you are doing 120 MPH!

Defiantly anything to do with sports - exercise - fitness - completely different from sitting in the pub drinking etc or sitting around with mates thinking you need drugs to get by ....

Try a team sport. Its fun and great for your health too. Reading can also keep your mind off substances.

A martial arts class.
Raquet ball.
Learn a musical instrument.
Study a foreign language.

working out at the gym, plain old running. or if you like video games, guitar hero 2 for the playstation 2 is extremely addictive.

a great program is Boy Scouts that turns 100 this year, depending on your age u can become a leader or a youth.
