The name "chameleon" means "earth lion" and comes from the Greek words chamai
So I would go with leo or lioness
Other name is Brookesia minima

I learned that Chameleon literally means "earth lion". So I went to a translator website and got the word lion translated into a bunch of different languages. These might be good names:
Leon (which is lion in Spanish)
Lowe (German for lion)
Leao (Portugese)
Aslan (Turkish)
Or you could just name him Leo...if it's a girl Lea...
