The Yankee haters are happy of course. but with that line-up, isnt that more suprising that an All star team cant even stay at above or at .500

i am more disappointed, i personally think the yankees should get rid of most the talent and start a farm system, thats how they will get the best, Jeter and Posada and hopefully Phil Hughs

Yes. Happy? Yes! Ecstatic? Yes! Going to piss my pants if they don't make the playoffs? DEFINITELY, and I will love every second of it!

Yes, I am a big Yankee Fan and I am extremely disappointed with this team. It seams that they just cant put anything together, even after they won 9 games in a row a few weeks ago they had a horrible road trip. Even though I dislike the Red Sox atleast after they lose a few games they start winning again. However, I will never give up on my team. I hope that they will start winning more consistently after the all star break. There is still plenty of time left to get into the playoffs. GO YANKEES!!!!!!!!

I'm a Sox fan, and I'm shocked they've been playing this badly. They have a recent history of starting slow, and then turning it around, but they've been remarkably inconsistent this year. They had that one stretch where they won 11 of 12 and got a few games above .500, but for the most part they've been playing very poorly.

And I agree with what you said about the lineup. With their pitching situation, it seems as though they would have to score 10 runs a game to win, but their their lineup it wouldn't be such a stretch to think they could do so. But they've been hitting very inconsistently, their rotation has been disappointing, and their bullpen is simply awful.

Still, with the money they spend and the names they get, it's very surprising to see them doing so poorly.

I'm surprised as a Yankee fan you expect more from this guys are we as fans know what there capable of doing but they have not shown that this year I'm very surprised but i think when they get consistent and realize there a better team than the way there playing they the Yankees are going to do better

I think that the only ones surprised are the Yankee fans.

No, it's not surprising. They've tried to win a WS for 7 straight years now. Those players don't have a desire to win. Each one of them came to the Yankees for a big fat contract, and that's all they have.

Yes, I am surprised. But I'm glad to see that money can't buy you the playoffs or a World Series appearance every year.
