"Ask your doctor" in the direction section of the labeling for prescription medications. Do you find your doctor informative? Does he/she take the time to answer your questions and make sure that you understand? Do you get tired of having to go to a doctor for each part of your body? General practitioners are becoming rare these days.

The doctor I had was very informative, and she and I got along very well. I went to her for over 10 years. Now that she has retired, I don't like her replacement. She doesn't listen to a thing I say, and mis diagnosed a severe ear infection.

I do have a general practitioner, but I'm looking to change.

I sympathize! The last time I went to a doctor, this young man (wow, did he even get out of high school yet? was my thought) completely disregarded my symptoms and insisted on writing me a prescription for Vicodin - after I told him I am highly allergic to it! He asked me how I knew I was allergic, and when I informed him it makes my respiratory system shut down, he said, "Well, you should give it a try anyway."

I really don't go to doctors much - I'm afraid they'll tell me what's wrong with me! ha ha
