Once I didn't so I kept traveling - (doing geographicals).
But after a while, I knew it was ME who I was moving away from.
So I have done some work on the inner and outer man and now I am at peace with myself to the larger degree.

So in summing up, "Where ever you go, you take your same mindset with you", travel ling away from yourself doesn't fix it.

Yes i accept things for how they are.

By being accepting your past can be reflected upon and learned from to determine why we are in the situation we are in today and how we can change things in the present to determine what situation we would like to be in in the future.

To not accept things how they are is an unrealistic view of your world and also of yourself however, the majority of people will always see you for who you are and nothing can change how things really are.

So the options are: accept things how they are and move on or look at things from an unrealistic perspective and make more mistakes in your future.

I think I'm finally at that point in life where I do accept myself as I am. Of course, I am always trying to better myself as a person, but I feel like I have been through a lot and come through it fighting all the way and made it. I feel blessed and thankful to be alive and happy. That's good enough for me.

I still try to make the effort to change. You never get to try anything new if you just settle for what you have, and I don't think you could live life to it's fullest if you just sit back and accept that because of the past you are the way you are and end it like that.

I would much rather see where my weaknesses are and try to improve. After all, the future counts just as much as the past, if not more...

Yes, I accept myself as is. I am who I am because of my past, and even if it means that I have done things that I have ultimately regretted, it is those decisions, both good and bad, that make me who I am today. I may never truely accept the fact that I can never change my past mistakes, but I can accept the fact that I can change those bad experiences into learning experiences that will hopefully hinder me from making those mistakes in the future.

I have multiple health issues that require me to do certain things a certain way and because of that I have to accept that. But even with that I'm always trying to improve on other things in my life to make myself a better person. One way I do that is to take things one minute, one hour, one day, and one week at a time.

You accept that you are who you are today but you also acknowledge your strengths and weaknesses and can decide to work on yourself and strengthen yourself. Your past does not necessarily depend on your past.

I think of myself as climbing back from mental illness.

Maybe like 80% up the stairway.

I plan to become heathier than most people, mentally and physically. I'm well on my way to it too.

You betcha.
We can't go back, but we
can go in circles.
I recall being lost in our nation's
capital.
A delivery driver gave me directions
to Baltimore. Then added, "I'll see
back here in an hour."
