More people are dead and buried, all of the alive people on the Earth are only 10% of everyone who has ever lived so far.

Good question. You have a smarty son I see. Good 4 U.
My guess would be that due to the earth's population growing at such an alarming rate today & going forward, that there will ALWAYS be more alive people on the planet than those buried in it. The world's population going back historically, gets smaller and smaller and smaller, so mathematically, the living people will always be more.

The human population has swelled so much that people alive today outnumber all those who have ever lived, says a factoid whose roots stretch back to the 1970s. Some versions of this widely circulating rumor claim that 75 percent of all people ever born are currently alive. Yet, despite a quadrupling of the population in the past century, the number of people alive today is still dwarfed by the number of people who have ever lived.

I would say there are more people dead and buried than there are alive. But if you're son is very young, you might not want to tell him that because it is kinda creepy haha. But yeah...i'm pretty sure there are more dead people.

More people dead than now alive.
About 106 billion have lived on planet earth so far. Currently living is only 6.6 billion or about 5% of those who have ever been on the planet.
Links below show different estimates but are in the same ball park -- 100 billion. They show how the estimate of the number of people who have every lived was calculated. I'm open to other estimates. For certain, the number dead is great than the number living today.

we haven't broke even yet, but getting close. During the dark ages close to half the worlds population died from the black plague. Then we had the Inquisitions. Not to forget how many million died building the Great Wall of China. Or all the Soldiers that died in concentration camps and all the Jews that died during that war with Germany as well. Then we can't forget the Little Ice age where that also killed off almost half the humans on this planet.
