I buy the o-ring repair kits that come with super glue and make my own o-rings, as far as parts i use a dremel tool to make anything i need i use small block of teflon to make my parts the dremel will not burn it and the parts are better than new. you just need a good jig to hold the small piece I use a vise and made some wood jaws and wrap them with leather will hold anything and not break it.

The part is likely to be made of neoprene, not rubber, enless it was homemade before. The carburator probably is a differernt manufacture than Otasco and kits should be available from a dealer or one of the many aftermarketers. Don't use rubber in gasoline. You will have another clean up job if you do.

I'm guessing you are talking about the accelerator pump diaphram in the carb, since that's about the only rubber piece in a carberator. It's gonna be really hard to fabricate that, if that's what it is. You can try a piece of inner tube, but it will need replaced often as gas will eat regular rubber very quickly.

Try taking the part to a parts place and matching it up with something. There are not too many boat parts that are flat out unavalable. If you search the web, you should at least be able to find a carb.

Once a rubber part that is part of a fuel system has deteriorated or becomes damaged it must be replaced.

Try taking the carburetor to a boat dealer so they can identify it,and they might be able to order a rebuild kit or match up the part with something that will work if,it is just an o-ring or some other common rubber part.

otasco was a retailer not a manufacturer. check with a good shop, maybe a mechanic will recognize it as an attwater or evinrude build.
