Although I have been to quite a few places in my life, my experience in North Carolina is the one I will never forgot because of its beauty...

Out of all the great experiences I have had in all different places, North Carolina has to be the greatest because...

North Carolina offers all different sights and sounds, and that's exactly what captivated me when I was there.

North Carolina, home of the(insert descriptive words, or things that are important in N.C.), is a place I will never forget.

All the things that North Carolina offered on my stay there truly captivated me, and for that reason and many more, it made my experience great.

You might want to summarize each thing you did there in your topic sentence. You could talk about one experience in particular. You could talk about what you saw.

I've never been there myself, but what was there about NC that really stands out in your mind? Was it the scenery, the people, the climate, historical buildings, the streets and roadways, good restaurants, shops, sports, civic events, etc.? Once you decide what makes you want to visit again, use that for your topic sentence. Or perhaps combine several things about the state that really made an impression on you.

You could begin your paragraph by saying, for example: "North Carolina, the land of rolling hills (or magnolia trees, etc.) is the place to be when you want to be next to nature."

Or, "There should be a song about the trees (buildings, people, arenas, etc.) in North Carolina."

How about, "I left my heart and most of my money in sunny North Carolina."

These are just suggestions, but you get the idea. Good luck!

First think about your experiences in North Carolina. Were they good or bad? What stood out the most about being there and what were you there for? How did the people treat? How is North Carolina different from where you live? Think about all those things and then elaborate on what gave you the most info.

Your topic sentence will basically reflect what you will discuss in your paragraph. Before we can help you create a topic sentence, we need to know what sort of view, opinion, or information you are going to include in the rest of your paragraph.

you mean when you're writing your intro paragraph? A place that i like to call my southern home, North Carolina, blah blah blah blah blah. unless you already live in the south. i don't know, i'd have to be writing the paper.
