One way drive...no orbits here or there...no stops for lube oil, gas, windshield cleaning or pit stops...

234,000 miles divided by 20 miles per gallon = 10,300
gallons of gas

At $ 3.00 per gallon that is about $31,000 worth of gas and you would have to have one gigantic gas tank to haul all of that the entire distance.

When you got there, you would have an empty tank, so the vehicle would eventually crash into the Moon with a big smushing sound that nobody could hear.

If we calculate that you are driving at 60 Miles Per Hour, the one way drive would take you 162.5 days driving 24 hours per day. Since that is not likely to happen, I suggest that you arrange for a total of three drivers working in 8 hour shifts.

Now to get realistic...you need to do an oil change every 3,000 to 5,000 miles. So you had better plan on doing about 60 oil changes on the way there which could take about 30 minutes per oil change.

Tires are only good for about 40,000 miles per set. So you will need six changes of tires on the trip, and that will require at least an hour for each set of tires to be changed, and the necessary tools/machines to do it. Tires are normaly inflated to about 30 - 35 PSI. I suppose your tires will only be inflated to maybe 2 to 3 PSI. however they will get very cold on this particular trip and probably quite brittle. So, my recommendation would be to plan on using 10 sets of tires instead of six, and adjust your trip time to reflect 10 stops for tire changes..

Because you be chasing a moving moon you would need about 20,000 gallons.
