Why can't you have both? Make new friends and keep your 2 old friends unless they aren't nice to you

My advise to you is to keep your 2 best friends that you've known since 2nd grade because you know them and can trust them. You can have other friends, too, but it's better to have 1 or 2 really good friends that you can trust, than to have many, many acquaintances to hang out with. The older you get, the more you will understand this. It's not easy to find people in this world who will accept you for who you are and be honest and trustworthy. If you have friends like that, don't let them go. They will be invaluable to you in the coming years!

most people can count their friends on one hand, meaning they probably have 5 friends at the most.
you are still young so you haven't learned to true meaning of friends. you will meet alot of people during this lifetime, some will be just acquaintances, some will be people you meet and see every once in a while. Eventually you and your best friend will go your seperate ways we all do. I wouldn't worry about it right now. When either one of you gets a boy friend, I promise you, that's when you or your friend won't have time for each other. Tell me what is your definition of a "friend". Think about it long and hard.

Add another additional detail! Why do you want to move on? And, you know? Keep your two friends, ok? Just talk to other people, and have those friends and your old friends. Remember this saying, "New friends are silver, but the old are gold." This may help you, I'm saying keep your old friends and tell them you want to spend some time apart. Enough to make new friends. AGAIN, keep your old friends, and make new ones. If they are mean to you, ditch them. They aren't even being friendly. And what friend is not friendly? Tell them, "It's time to move on. I don't wanna be friends anymore." Good luck, girl!

Why do you have to ditch your best friend to make new ones? Maybe tell your best friend that you want to make some new friends and you can do it together? I have quite a few friends that I have been friends with for a very long time and those are the most rewarding friendships to have because you have a shared history.

huh.
All I have are two best friends as well. The others shun me for what I am, what I like, what I can do.

Best thing I can say is, stick with who you have. If you say "I want to move on", but don't gain any more friends, you can't just say "Oh, it didn't work. Can we be friends again?"

People tease me, call me Bird Girl, Wierdo, idiot. I honestly don't care. Only the opinions of my friends matter to me.

There is nothing wrong with having a lot of friends. You can make as many friends as you want, but you don't have to erase your old friends completely. If your new friends don't work out you will always have your old ones!!! :D

If they were truly your friends they would not talk about you or hurt your feelings. If you do not feel as if they are good friends, just quielty move on to bigger and better things.
