Ok, in two days I'm leaving to Florida, and I was just wondering how long will it take me to tan on the florida beach?? I have fair skin, and I really need a tan! And if I apply tanning oil (spf 8), will that burn me?? Thanx! :)

I live in Fort Lauderdale, Florida and have olive skin, I use a sunscreen because I still can burn. If you are fair only go between the hours or 7-11 am and 3-5 pm use sunscreen not oils sun poisioning is no joke

I just flew in from Miami and got this tan within 15 minutes of setting foot on the beach! So cool! It left me with a lot of time to do other things! I was really excited about that!

I am from southern Florida, spf8 will not just burn you, it will blister you. Being fair skinned you will need at least an spf30 and several weeks to get a tan. Be careful, sun burns are very dangerous and can be precancerous.

if you lay in the sun for like 20 minutes without sunscreen youll get tan but dont go too long without sun screen. Just go swimming for like an hour and youll be tan the next day.

you'll tan pretty quickly. but be careful, too much time in the sun and you can burn quickly too. i would recommend putting on a higher spf sun tan lotion.
