There are a total of 63 Gettysburg's Medal of Honor Recipients (see link)

The Medal of Honor was born out of the need to recognize the valor exhibited by soldiers in the Civil War and nowhere were actions of bravery and courage in the war recognized more than at the Battle of Gettysburg. In all, 63 medals were awarded to soldiers for their actions on the battlefield of southern Pennsylvania. Below is a list of those 63 men along with the complete citation which accompanied the award.
