-Moving to New York in a few years ('09 or '10) Want to be a teacher (High School)?

Question

I have been to New York, loved it. Also my mom is from westchester, she moved there and lived there for 5 yrs. I have been many times to the city and westchester. I would like to move to Westchester County, because its very familiar in setting and enviornment to where I grew up in Ontario...clsoe to Toronto.

I am going into my fourth year of University this year, I will be graduating with an Honors Bachelor, and then commencing to Teachers College in Buffalo. I was wondering how much is a the entry salary/ general salary for a high school teacher in westchester. I think finding a job is important before moving to a new city, and in my case, a new country.. I plan on having my degree and teachers college certificate before moving.

start now. write to the board of eduction with your plan. teachers are in demand.
then on vacations or when time allows come to NY and interview to get the selection process sealed.
