4th Of July Help?

Okay this is the thing.
My mom and i want to got to Los Angeles for the 4th of July.
But we are not sure what to do over the like what is there to do for fun. We are not sure if stores are going to be open of if China town will the stores be closed.
Please just if any of you know wat is there to do in los angeles.
and if most stores are going to be open or closed.

Most stores in large cities remain open on Independence Day. And there will be a public display of fireworks. See my link below.
