What is the correct name of the person that films in movies? I call them camera man but need the correct name. You know the one who films and controls the camera. I cant remember the name.

There are multiple camera men on most films, but the one who coordinates and sets up the shots with the director is the cinematographer.

The main guy who sets up and composes the shot, including the lighting for the shot is known as the cinematographer or director of photography. Below this person you'll have one or more camera operators, who run the camera, a lens puller who controls the focus and zoom on the lens, and the grips (including the key grip, the best boy, dolly grip, and crane operator) who set up the lights and rigging, as well as assist in any camera movements.

You would be looking for the DP or Director of Photography. That is the person in charge of taking the pictures.
