last week i was at my friends house and her son in law burped loud out side her house after he drank a fizzy drink. a few days later my friend got a letter off the council saying...We have had a complaint off one of your neighbours and you are not allowed to burp very loud out side your property....
what would you do if you got a letter telling you that your not allowed to burp out side?

I would rip up the letter and burp more frequently outside to annoy them even more. I don't see any law saying you can't burp outside your own property. If it was an accident, then why go to the council when they could've asked the family not to do that as it was rude.
So if someone complained of me when I didn't mean it, I'd do it more.

I would watch those neighbors super closly and turn them in for anything and everything at all and keep doing it. If they wanted to get picky about things, it would be full out war.
I know people who moved to Amherst, New York. They were so happy to finally have their own house with a backyard, etc. They were turned in for hanging their wash outside. It was considered tacky and against the rules. They turned around and sold their house pronto.

It was 3.13 in the morning for goodness sake. And it was right against my bedroom window which was open. If the sound wisnae bad unuf the smell o fizzy cherryaid sure made me want tae chunder.
