Well, first of all, I would go to AA and get help if you are not getting help. I would stay sober for at least a year to prove to your husband that you are serious about being sober before asking him again about having a baby. Drinking is a disease and you have to make the conscious choice to not drink.

Show him that you can and are willing to stay sober go to counselling and AA etc, give it twelve months then discuss the baby issue again if he still says no, then im sorry to say he doesnt want a baby at all, but look at one good thing at least by then you will be sober!

I would work on staying sober for a while. Probably close to a year and try interacting with any nieces or nephews you have. It will give you time get to know more about the demands of children and prove to your husband that you are committed to remaining sober.

if you have a very bad drinking problem, youre in no position to put a baby at risk of having health problems, stay sober for a least a year if you really want kids and love them

Deal with the issues that are making you drink to begin with.
Having a child is a HUGE responsability, and too many people take it lightly.

Your husband must be very concerned if he thinks you have both a drinking problem... and any normal person would want a responsible person to take care of their child.

Go to AA and get help before you even consider getting pregnant....PLEASE.

Tell him you'll stop drinking for a year to PROVE to him that you can stay sober and then have the baby talk again.

Stay sober. Action speaks louder than words, as they say.

Can you? If the drinking is out of control than you need to address that problem before thinking about becoming a parent.
