For your peace of mind I thick you should tell him, and also for the child when he grows up. this child has a right to know who is birth father is and if you tell your boyfriend now you are not going to have his reaction on top of your sons especially if he does turn out to be your friends baby, telling your son is unavoidable, so I guess in a way so is telling your boyfriend and anyway if you were not together when you slept with some one else how can he be mad at you for that? The only reason he has to get mad at you now is for holding it back so long, but that might have to be a risk you take. It has risks either way you go after all What is worse a lie that brings a smile? Or a truth that brings a tear? On the whole I think a truth that brings a tear because tears that come before a smile don't last as long as tears taht come after one.

There are paternity tests that you can take at home (you can find sites on Google that sell these tests for as little as $99). So, as long as the "friend" is willing to check to see if he may be the father, then you can find out without your boyfriend knowing. However, I don't know how accurate they are, since I've never purchased one.

There are other places to go for paternity testing, though. What you do with the information, then, is entirely up to you. Personally, I wouldn't say anything until I found out if the other guy is, indeed, the father. Then, I would definitely speak up if your boyfriend is not the father of the first baby... the child would need to know health information about his biological parents.

You are going to have to face it some day, some way. What if something happened with your baby's health. Then the bloodwork would show whether or not your b/f is the father. Either be honest with him and work things out together or he will find out somehow down the road. Be gentle and thoughtful about how you tell him. Good luck.

Better tell him, cause it's not fair to your child if they have a daddy other than the one who's been providing for them.....better now than later, or you will really catch hell!!

DNA testing. Do the right thing. Find out who the father is.

I think you should tell him, because it will be in the best interest of the child
