Important paper left in my pocket and got washed, can I restore it?

It isn't too bad, torn in some places and some letters faded. Is there anything I could do to it to make it more stiff?

You might put it on a scanner and see if image enhancement can improve it. Often that can bring out faded letters and make them easier to read. Use one of the free image programs to change the darkness and contrast. Sometimes just an ordinary copier can do some good.
