I think you just said that didn't you? I agree with that statement for the most part, while its true when we ask advice we usually know the answer a lot of the time it is not the answer we want to hear so we hope that someone will tell us what we want to hear and not what we know is the right advice... huh? does that make any sense at all?? LOL

A man is walking down a street and walks under a safe being lifted to the 3rd floor on a building. A man across the street screams "look out". The man across the street asks 'why' and is crushed by the piano...
The moral of this story is that others can see where you are in life better than you can. This is one of the reasons people ask for advice. you might have an Idea of where you are and what you need to do, and it is true that sometimes you refuse to accept the truth, but I think most of the time when people ask for advice they really don't know.

I don't agree. Some people might ask advice and want to hear a certain thing... but the definition of advice is NOT that.

Yes and no. It is certainly true of most questions people ask about what they should do in their relationships and marriages. It's also true of rhetorical, spurious requests for advice, such as on divisive political issues. (Oh, wait, I think all political issues are divisive, otherwise they wouldn't be "issues". But I digress.)

I disagree. That's what ignorant jerks say to people because they have no good advice to offer. People often need good advice to open the paths they are not yet seeing. Good advice is absolutely priceless and extremely rare for most people unless they've been blessed with the presence of really wise people.

My advice is to never take advice or to ask what advice is.

Advise is what you ask for when you have doubt in your own self to make the decision for yourself because us as humans need to have reassurance that it will all be okay in the end
