Last night I was online typing and all of a sudden my vision in my right eye got blurry and I had a hard time seeing complete words on the screen. (Example) Last word I typed in a sentence was "panic" When I tried reading it I couldt see past the n in panic and was hard seeing through the blur to that. Last night when I went to bed I was awoke with a sudden sharp pain through the left side of my head and has been happening all day especialy when I was cough, sneeze or or what ever it gets worse for a second. I am planning on going to the doctor on monday if it still happens but I dont feel its worth the E.R as of yet.

Any ideas what it may be?

Where there is a head there is headache. Do not worry much it would increase headache.
Consult a doctor. Do not take medicins on your own.

Hi there. Well I have a little information that may be helpful. I am a mutiple brain disaster surviror! Well I ha done condition in my brain that started first that was called a Chiari Malformation. My symptoms were constant headaches (A lot of pressure) blurred vision, bad balance (I was very clumsy and falling and tripping a lot......fell down the stairs several times.) Sharp Sharp pains in my head as well. When you caugh, sneeze, or have a BM (Taking a crap) is when it gets really bad for a short minute. Also I became very fatigue. They did the brain surgery to correct it. You can look up "Chiari Malformation symptoms" on google. Also I had a brain tumor. My symptoms were ringing in the ears, blured vision again and headaches and sudden jars of memory loss. I would check it out and ask for a MRI not a Cat Scan. Cat Scans can't pick up as much as an MRI can. I really hope I dont scare you or make you feel uncomfortable!!! I wish you the best of luck and take care sweetie! Hopefully i was helpful!!

Ohh yeah!! Numbness in your legs or tingleing in one side of your body is a symptom as well. Like I said Im not trying to scare you! If you ever wanna talk feel free to hit me up!

Well, one day I saw paper that was blurred on the corner. I lost my sight in that eye within 2 years, so this is not something to skimp on. Your doctor can help you with the headache, but I would also make an appointment with an opthomologist. There was no headache associated with my problem. If your vision gets worse when you cough or sneeze, please go to the ER now. The worst case scenario is a detached retina.

If the headache is behind your eyes, it may be sinuses. But any pain that causes blurry vision and is unilateral (ONE SIDE OF THE BODY) has me thinking about things like an impending stroke or something. I don't think I would let that go. However, I AM a hypochondriac. Maybe you could call and talk to the doctor on call at your doctor's office and ask?

It's called a visual migrane. I had one when I was 12 and panicked because I thought I was going blind. The nurses at school thought I was making it up. My mom came and picked me up and told me she had one whlie she was pregnant with me. Sure enough, a few hours later, I had a horrible headache.

Unforunately, yours isn't going away, could it be a major sinus infection? I would go to the doctor if it's not gone by monday.

It sounds like a migraine, but the symptoms of a stroke can be similar, so keep a close eye on it, if it comes back, or gets worse, I would go to the hospital, just to be sure...

Could be just eye strain. Take a break from the puter today and do something else. Could be a migraine. Just take it easy and take some painkillers.

if you have arm numbness in conjunction, it could be signs of a stroke.

I seriously would not mess with that and see an ER doctor right away. All pain, especially if it wakes you up, is a strong sign something is wrong.
