There's one in Ashland Oregon, there's a vacation-type senior citizen artist colony in the Adirondacks, New York, and of course the famous one in Santa Fe: Santa Fe Society of Artists pic. PO Box 2031 Santa Fe, NM 87504

Have you considered Taos, New Mexico? I hear it is incredible and vert artsy. Also Eugene, Oregon. Have been there and would go back to the 12th Street market in a heartbeat!

Depending on where you live, Burbank, California has one. There is music, theater, etc.
