It all seems a bit too convenient to me, new prime minister wanting to promote the war on terror and make himself look the big hero. nobody gets hurt, the wonderful new prime minister saves the day, but makes sure the whole nation is still in fear and believe in the war on terror.
i mean there is cctv everywhere in london, and this guy supposedly drove erratically into some rubbish bins or something and then ran away, he must have left some sort of evidence behind, or they must have got a shot of him on TV
i duno it all just seems a bit suss to me....what you guys reckon?

What will it take to get you conspiracy nuts to realize that there's a bonfire threat from radical Muslims? They themselves have come right out and called for the destruction of the "infidels" Do the jihadists need to personally e-mail or text message that they want to kill you before you will believe that they're serious about their goals and agenda?
I was reading the comments on the BBC web site earlier today and was flabbergasted at the number of people who feel more threaten by their own government then the potential of future attacks. What rational basis do they have to be thinking that way?
Although I agree with those who say that the British shouldn't let the terrorists change the way they conduct their lives, it is still a reasonable assumption that the government can and will help protect its citizens without resorting to Dacronian methods. The danger from radical Islam is still much, much greater than the danger of Britain (or the United States) sliding toward fasiscm as some fear.

I would say real terrorists. I suppose you think the Scottish incident was a conspiracy also? That is one of the problems today - people who won't accept the fact that the terrorists are out there and are actually doing all this. I have no idea why people think this stuff is a government conspiracy to promote a war on terror. There is a war on terror and has been for many years. It's not something that just happened. Do you want the terrorists to win? Are you ready to cow tow to them, become Muslim and do whatever they say?

Yes. The guy was a hired hand. Why didn't he just drive into a crowd? the English are a lot more like Americans than they think. Remember the key lesson of 1984: The will always be war because, even in the absence of conflict between nations, leaders will always create a pretext for it so that, in turn, they can at once keep people scared and divert attention and resources away from problems whose solution would require them to sacrifice their wealth, power, or both.

CCTV doesn't stop cars driving erratically.
People drive drunk all the time and crash the car. They don't send cops out to chase the car.
Nobody is watching CCTV half the time, it is usually used for evidence afterwards.
The reason why the bombs happened is precisely because there is a new PM. It is to get his attention and make him change what Tony started.

I agree. They're not blowing themselves up like most of these nuts do. And they look like idiots who have failed in their so-called "missions". Plus the U.S. has said there's no terror threat. Hhmmm...... I wouldn't be surprised if it has something to do with the new Prime Minister. Either that or Prince Charles REALLy doesn't want this Diana concert to go on successfully.

Yeah, I think the aliens put the bombs there to divert attention away from their secret landing in Stonehenge next week...
These bombings were put in place by Al Qaeda followers who want to see the destruction of all the free countries in this world. The more time we take to ask ourselves if this was a conspiracy, the more time the terrorists have to plan our demise.

They have a 'crystal clear' image of a suspect from CCTV, they just don't think it serves the best interests of the case to release it yet. They aren't just going to run to the media. They're being very measured and professional.

I reckon that there is a world filled with Islamic Fundamentalist who want to kill us out there and trying to apologize for them by groping for conspiracy where there is none just makes matters worse and plays into their hands
