mirror. definately.
a lot of people arent very photogenic so pictures always look bad.
if youve noticed, if you take a picture of your friend, then that isnt neccessarily what they look like in person.

mirrors only show the front angle.
using other mirrors to be able to get to see the side, back, mess up the image you see subconsciously. It confuses the brain.
photographs can be greatly effected by quality of picture, lighting and perspective.
Lighting is the worse culprit.
I prefer video, stable and with the correct lighting and at the correct angles.
that way you can be free to move how ever you want, even spin around for an all angle inspection.
facial expressions and body movement can be analyzed too.
I use it to practice for speeches in my speech class.

That's a funny question, I've thought the same thing about the pictures I've seen of my self. I'd go with what I see in the mirror.

I think mirror... people can edit pictures. But it's kind of hard to edit a normal mirror...
