I just went throught his with a '94 Accord EX. I had to have the whole AC system replaced. Likely, you just need a freon charge. NO MATTER WHAT, MAKE SURE THE EVAPORATOR LINE IS CLEAR. Mechanics will ignore this unless you make a big deal out of them making sure it's clear. Next thing you know, water is leaking into the passenger footwell and your car reeks like mildew.

Well it doesn't take freon it takes R-134a as a refrigerant. It is more than likely just old and needs replaced. The seals have probably become dried up cracked and leak whatever is put into the system. More than likely to fix it will cost over $500 to fix it right.

Thats it. Low freon, or a pressure switch to turn on the compressor.
