I think your right. The problem you're finding on this answer is the fact that you either love Notre Dame or you hate them, and if you hate them then you're not going to be able to say one positive thing about them.

Brady Quinn's college career was far better than Russell's, like you said just look at the stats, and you can argue that ND plays a tougher schedule than any team in D1, but the NFL is a different beast. We'll have to see. My votes on Quinn.

Well if the Raiders, Vikings, and Dolphins thought he was better than Russell they would of taken him. Stats dont mean anything if u always choke in the big game, Both Russell and Quinn are prone to doing that consistantly. I mean Quinn never beats the top teams only the cupcakes. Without the Shark im not sure Quinn is that good at all. People brag about Russells arm and how he can throw 4 TD's a game. But he also can easily throw 3 INT's. In conclusion neither is very good and will probly not thrive at the nfl level.

Personally I'd take Jamarcus Russell over Brady Quinn any day of the week rain or shine. He's got it all, the speed, the arm, and definitely the size. As long as Russell doesn't turn into the next Michael Vick and relies more on his arm... like a Warren Moon, then he'll be much better than Quinn. Both are on exceptionally poor teams but in my opinion Quinn has more talent at receivers so if anything he should look better... but he wont.

The main question is will he be better in the NFL than Brady Quinn... And the correct answer is, time will tell... You never know how players will turn out... Some will never develop... Some will have a good couple years, and then fade into obscurity... Some will be solid roll players for 15 years... And some will be superstars... Only when both careers are over will be able to say who is better...

Well that was their college stats, wait until you see the NFL stats. JaMarcus Russell is more bigger and one of the few physical QB's because of his size. He could be like Daunte Culpepper but more lasting. I would say JaMarcus Russell because of his arm and what he does in the big close games. Hope you watched the Sugar Bowl and notice how Brady Quinn didn't win the big games and JaMarcus did.

of course jamarcus russell is better. look at what lsu did to notre dame in the sugar bowl...besides, if brady quinn were all that and a bag of chips he wouldve been picked higher than 22 while russell was #1 in the draft..

yea he is way better than brady quinn. the only reason brady has some stats better than Russel is because Notre Dame relied on Brady to always pass the ball. Brady Quinn is overrated i mean what did he do at Notre Dame except for lose big to big teams like Ohio State, Michigan, USC.

In my opinion, you're totally incorrect. Brady Quinn and Notre Dame are the most over rated things on this planet. Brady Quinn happens to be worthless, look at it this way; all he did was throw the ball up, that's literally all he did. He has a SEVERE lack of accuracy to be a compitent QB in the NCAA, let alone the NFL now. He had a top notch offensive line, 2 GREAT receivers, and a runningback. They did his work. The receivers they had were the only played on that team that we not over rated. They caught just about anything that P.O.S. known as Brady Quinn tossed up. THEN.. to prove how over rated ND is.... they almost lost to STANFORD!!! and struggled against the AIR FORCE!!! got decapitated by the team that most likely should have been in the BCS Championship, Michigan. Shut down by USC.... then SOMEHOW got to a bowl they didn't deserve to be in, only to have LSU sew on the heads that michigan decapitated, to only decapitate ND in that game. Brady Quinn is worthless, which will show in time. ND has lost their "star" QB and their great wide receivers... still have a piece of crap defense... and will lose 3 to 4 games.. ONLY because they have a weak as hell schedule.. only playing TWO true teams in USC and Michigan.

Russell is MUCH better suited for the NFL, but most likely wont win due to playing for the Raiders, though they are collecting quite a bit of talent now and have Warren Sapp below 300 lbs, MEANING, most likely he could lead the NFL in sacks or come in second behind Merriman.

David Carr, my friend, is a better QB than Brady Quinn, and look at how much success he's had... NONE... due to playing for a piece of crap team... With Carr most likely going to be starting mid season, look for him to shine and break out of nowhere... Quinn wont be as bad as Leaf.... but with how hyped up he is... it's going to be pretty much the same effect.
