Sure -go for it! Best travel in the middle lane as well - just to be on the safe side. Oh and write the number plate on a bit of cardboard on a string.

Speed limit for towing a caravan on a motorway is 60mph maximum but it depends on road conditions. You must display a badge on the rear of the caravan - it is a black oval with the number 60 in white.

I understood 30ft caravans were moved by trailer.

However, stick to travelling along flat roads. If you try to go up a hill, you may find your caravan is towing you back down the hill.

Your Robin may be able to tow this caravan if it has a strengthened chassis and a 2.5litre engine...

Thanks for the laugh - I can just imagine it...

Hi
Are you for real, apart from being dangerous it's illegal, there are certain weight ratios to be observed and a Reliant Robin super or not would have trouble pulling a hen off it's nest never mind a caravan.
Ray. West York's. U.K.
P.S The max speed limit on motorways for towing is 60, you'll be towing alright, you'll be lucky to reach 6mph never mind 60.

ya.... i'm not sure where you are, maybe that is a normal tow vehicle there.... but in my experience a 30 foot trailer is too much for even a 1/2 ton truck (which has WAYYYY more power than your reliant). Might i suggest you use it as a trade in on a Ford Super Duty, or a Unimog? maybe even a Hummer?
If you really do attempt to tow with that, and you do successfully reach high speeds, there are only 2 possible outcomes. 1- you need to stop in a hurry and find the brakes on your Reliant aren't up to the task, and crash. 2- your Reliant isn't heavy enough to remain stable with such a large load behind it, and you crash

When they moved the M6 sideways some 50feet at Preston it took about 2 years and the contractor was never done for speeding, but usually motorways don't move so perhaps there is no speed limit for them.

anyone thinking like this should be banded from driving, this kind of thinking is a danger to all road user. Stick to push bikes and keep the roads safer mate. - ALAN, Sheffield S25

Not up hill. Don't worry about the speed limit you are not going to get any where near it.
