I have a paypal account. I am wanting to purchase something from Barns & noble using my paypal account but I dont have any money in my paypal account at this time. My question is will paypal go to my checking account and take the funds to cover it? I have napster and thats what they do but im not sure if it depends on the company or paypal. If I add funds to my account it takes a few days to go through so I wouldnt know if it made it in time for when they get my order.

When you make a payment using Paypal it will ask you which funding source you want to use. This can be anything from a checking account to a credit card, whatever you have set up. You don't have to wait for funds to be added to your account.

Paypal goes to a checking account if you have no funds available in the account already. You need to supply them with a checking account number when you sign up and that checking account should already be marked as "primary" in your settings bank information. You should be all set without having to do anything.

Well if you gave him the password to your account and trusted him with it there's nothing you can do because you gave consent to use your account. What I would do is change your password and get a Paypal security token payoff what ever got spent. You could try to report it to Paypal as a fraudulent transaction but if you gave him your password and account name they might see it as poor account management rather then fraud.

paypal is the company that manages all that. they will take out the cash straight from your bank account and will pay the company. the company will just get the funds right away as if it came from your paypal balance

so yea

paypal will also take the money from your checking account. It will take a few days. You may be able to pay with a credit card from the barnes & nobels site faster.

Usually you have to have a bank account and credit/debit card to open a PayPal account.

I never put money into my account.... They take it from my registered, verified checking account.
