Well really I knew when I found out. I realized I was lost because if I knew where I was the goals that I failed would have been easy to achieve otherwise.

When the path that I was on was clearly leading to my sorrow and unhappiness. When I was on the path that someone else, whose intensions for me were bad, led me down and I went along, but I hated every minute of it. I was lost and wanted to find a way home.

When I could not read any "Yellow Signs" and I came to a dead end.
That's Venice for you. A giant maze and you get lost unless you're always looking up.

When I could not make sense of anything any more, None of the answers fit, & I no longer knew which way to go. I was not really even sure the questions were valid.

When I called approach control for clearance for a straight-in approach landing on a strip ahead of me.
Approach advised me they didn't have me on radar and asked me to make a 90 degree right turn and advise them when I'd done so.
I did, and did.
Approach advised me they still couldn't identify me on radar.
"Cessna niner zero one seven two to Abilene approach. I'm within half a mile of that C-7 that just took off and came past me."
"Abilene approach to Cessna niner zero one seven two. One seven two, IMMEDIATELY proceed heading three five zero, altitude 3000 feet. You are approaching the wrong airport. You are in restricted airspace. One seven two, acknowledge."

I was suppose to be in L.A. and ended up in the Big Bear area that pretty much told me I was lost...

When nothing looked familiar anymore. My own self seemed stranger that was when I knew I am lost and am still searching my sweet self......

I was in a hot air balloon & got blown off course.I'm low enough to see two guys working on a car-I yell HEY where am I? they look around until one of them says---you're in that little basket, a$$hole!

I saw the signs & knew I had taken a very wrong turn. Luckily I managed to find my way back...(literally & figuratively).
